Chabad Community Preschool is a small, intimate preschool in Laguna Beach, whose mission is to provide a warm and nurturing environment where children ages 2-5 can grow and develop emotionally, cognitively and physically. Based on the knowledge that the formative years of early childhood are vitally important, each child is viewed as a seed that we nurture with the utmost care; the seed’s every experience will shape and color the quality of its matured self.

Licensed by the state of California, our carefully crafted program is designed to provide children with the early foundation and framework necessary for the transition to elementary school and beyond. Children learn to develop the literacy, numeracy, reasoning, and decision making skills that form a foundation for school readiness. In addition, children learn socialization skills, build self- confidence and develop the preliminary skills to explore and experience their world.

Our Preschool is staffed with trained early childhood educators. Each member of our school faculty is sensitive to the needs of the children and their families, and meets weekly to discuss curriculum, plan programs and share and exchange ideas.

As part of our early childhood program, Chabad Preschool offers enrichments classes that are designed to stimulate and provide additional play/learning opportunities. Gymnastics and Dance class with Teacher Dean, and Drama/Puppetry led by Rima Trachtenberg, are two of our most popular enrichment classes, culminating with a Gymnastic Medals Award presentation, and a delightful puppet show at the end of the year! In addition, our students are exposed to music and movement on a daily basis, accompanied by Morah Perel on her guitar!
